IPE

IPE tables are strong, resilient, durable and weather resistant making them perfect for Outdoor Restaurant Table Tops and ideal for Outdoor Dining. The density of IPE makes it a natural deterrent to insects, decay, and mold. It is almost twice as thick as most woods and up to five times harder.

IPE which is also known as “Brazilian Walnut” is commonly used for decking. This is an extremely dense wood according to the Janka Rating (See the chart on the IPE products below) IPE will grey over time depending on how much direct sunlight the wood gets. For IPE to keep the natural brown look, an oil will need to be applied periodically.
